I think about how God used men like Nehemiah, Ezra , Daniel, Shadrach, Mesech, Abednego, Joseph.

What motivated these men to serve God as they did?

What molded them into usable vessels to advance God's purposes?

The answer is reflected in the title "Are You Stayed Upon Jehovah?"

They were shaped by knowing the LORD as He spoke to them through His Word, by spending time communing with Him in prayer, and by worshiping the One, True God of heaven.

Nehemiah safely arrived in Jerusalem and faced instant opposition. This reminds us that the Devil actively opposes all that God wants to do in my life, your life and in His church.

The book of Psalms continues to show us the heart and passion for God that these men had.

They found great comfort in the Psalms because Psalmists like David, Asaph and others wrote about their personal struggles and their enemies, both internal and external.

They learned to do what Psalm 37 tells us to do. Do not fret over evildoers who seem to get away with moral corruption with impunity.

All judgement and vengeance belongs to Jehovah and He is going to judge them with His righteousness at the resurrection of damnation.

Instead, trust in Jehovah at all times and do what is good and right according to God's Word.

They learned to delight themselves in Jehovah, finding their greatest joy and satisfaction in known the God who created all things.

These men learned to wait patiently for the LORD to work according to His perfect plan.

Thus, even in the face of formidable opposition, they were stayed upon Jehovah, never yielding ground, always ready to do what God showed them to do.

These men learned that their lives must seek to bring honor and glory to God.

When they faced challenges, they learned to cast all their burdens upon the LORD because He cares for us.

Although their current situation seemed overwhelmingly hopeless in the eyes of man, with God all things are possible.

Our conclusion is that these men were used of God in mighty ways because they acted based upon what they knew to be true of God.

I hope that this study is a great blessing to all who are able to watch the livestream.
