Good Day, to all of our Readers from around the world.


I am asking you to pray for my wife Deb, and me. 

Deb has Multiple Myeloma which is a rare, blood cancer, caused by the bone marrow producing too much of a certain protein.

She began treatments a couple of weeks ago. Please pray for Deb's body to be able to tolerate the chemo treatments. Also, pray for her side effects to be minimized.

Currently, she is lightheaded and nauseated in the morning, and tired at various points during the day. 

This has an impact upon the blog as well. Deb is my faithful editor and she is very good at what she does. 

I cannot continue to ask Deb to edit the blog, because of her health concerns. 

Please pray for the Lord to help me, as I write and proof the blog, so that the Word of God is honored and communicated clearly for you to read. 

Our God is loving and caring, and we have cast all our cares upon Him as He instructs us to do. We trust the Lord and seek to walk with Him, one day at a time. 

We desire your prayers interceding for our needs at this time of life.  

Let us all remember that the fervent, effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth much at the throne of God.

  Good afternoon.. I have a great hymn history to share with you today. One of the outstanding hymn writers was Eliza Hewitt. This hymn "Sunshine in My Soul Today" was written by Eliza after she suffered a serious injury. The lyrics and an excellent performance of the hymn are included. Elohim: the first name of God used in the Bible

I thought it might be helpful to look with you a bit regarding the very first name of God we encounter in the Bible. The Hebrew word translated "God" in Genesis 1 is "Elohim." Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Good morning... I have a hymn for all of your to rejoice in and enjoy. This beautiful hymn was written by Stuart Towned and Keith Getty in 2005. It represents a growing and pressing need for the people of God to return to solid Bible preaching and teaching as they turn away from that which does not satisfy our soul.
