Watch Out For Doctrines Of Devils Pt. 3 Beware Seducing Spirits. Know The Scriptures!

Image
Doctrines of Devils fill the world today. 1 Timothy 4:1,2  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;  2)  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;  The Holy Spirit of God told us in advance that in the last days, or latter times as it is called here, people will turn away from repentant faith in Jesus Christ.  Instead of repentant faith in Jesus Christ, people will embrace a gospel that allows them to live a self absorbed, self centered life.  People will always embrace a gospel that makes them feel good and allows them to experience all that the world has to offer.  People will always embrace a gospel that allows them to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. Lies are at the core of devilish doctrines from seducing spirits. Pastors and teachers who succumb to seducing spirits and devilish doctrines, promote...

Watch Out For Doctrines Of Devils Pt. 2 Know Our Enemy!

Image
We are taking a moment to learn about where Satan and the fallen angels originated, because this is very relevant to the world we live in. I would encourage you to go back into the archive indexes posted on September 7, and look up our studies through the book of Ephesians.  The last few posts really focus upon spiritual warfare and are very relevant to this study. (August 2021). Satan is the prince of the power of the air.  Ephesians 2:2,3  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:  3)  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.  When Paul speaks of the Devil he calls him the prince of the power of the air. He orchestrates unclean spirits under his command to spread a ve...

Watch Out For Doctrines of Devils Pt. 1 Where Did Satan And His Devils Come From?

Image
We are going to look at something Paul warned us about, concerning the end times. However, in order for us to fully grasp the importance of this study, we must first look at Satan and the fallen angels.  God gave us a record of the Devil and fallen angels for a reason. We must know about these beings because they are God's enemies and our enemies.  Thus, my intent is to put the light of scripture upon this topic so that we can see our enemy more clearly.  We cannot fully grasp truth about doctrines of devils and seducing spirits unless we know about them Next month is when much of the world will exalt the Devil by celebrating Halloween. Thus, it is most appropriate for us to study these things and to pray for our families. Where did Satan come from? Isaiah 14:12-15  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!  13  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend i...

Can I Know The Will Of God? Pt. 21 God Will Judge Sin. He Will Bless Those Who Obey.

Image
God's will forbids idolatry.  Leviticus 26:1,2  Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.  2)  Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.  As we continue to study the will of God, we move toward the end of the book of Leviticus.  God's  will is made very clear and plain. His people are to flee from idolatry. They are not to make any images, no statues, no stone monuments, nor were they to ever bow down to an idol.  Why? Because Jehovah Elohim is the One, True, Living God. Instead of worshiping lifeless lumps of material, they were to worship the Living God of heaven. They were to keep His sabbath day holy and have a proper fear and respect of God in His sanctuary.  In our culture, idolatry looks very different from the Old Testament times. Let me remind us of a practical ...

Psalm 119: Focus On God's Word Pt. 126 Judgement For Individual And National Sins.

Image
We have come to the next verse in this section of Psalm 119.  Praying to have our reproach turned away.  Psalm 119:39  Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.  The Psalmist turned his attention to sins that impacted him. He does not specify what sin he may be thinking of, but this is very relevant for all believers in Christ.  The idea of having our reproach turned away is asking that God would remove it from us, so that it is gone. The motivation for doing this is so that His blessed name is not mocked or tarnished.   This is a prayer of the Psalmist that we can pray for ourselves. We must ask God to help us avoid dishonoring Him by our own actions. We must ask God to roll away the reproach from any sinful acts of our nation.  A nation can sin and be judged by God.   Israel's sins as a nation, is a frequent topic in the Psalms, and it may well be that the Psalmist felt contaminated by Israel's incessant idol...
