Urgent Prayer Request for Believers in Ukraine

Psalm 37:39-40  But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.40  And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Psalm 46:1-3  God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  (2)  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;  (3)  Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

May the words of the sweet Psalmist of Israel calm our own hearts and guide us as we pray for the needs of brothers and sisters around the world, where they face hostility for the sake of the gospel of Christ.

Jehovah is our strength in times of trouble. He will help and deliver His people from the wicked because they put their trust in Him.

God is an ever present help for all believers, a refuge and place of shelter when troubles erupt around us.

May we be confident that the Lord is at work during this time of crisis and may we be sensitive to the moving of God's Spirit to be ready to share the gospel with other people.

I would ask all of you to pray with me for Christians living in Ukraine. War has broken out and will cause much distress and will potentially result in widespread death, destruction and human misery.

Please pray for believers living there that God might protect them and that all Christians would remember our hope is in Christ.

Let us ask our God to watch over all those who are caught in the midst of conflict, and for His providential guidance to be on display in their lives.

So much war and hatred exists in the world today, but God can and will change people as faithful believers share His Word. The love of Christ will triumph over hate.

Bob
