Below is a missionary update from a dear couple that our church supports. They have challenges and many blessings to share each month. Please remember J & M in your prayers. Personal information was redacted to protect their ministry.

J  baptized R  and V  on a beautiful Summer day with light sea waves in A, while we joyfully looked on.  As they walked back to the shore to join us, their faces were beaming with glorious smiles.  What a wonderful day!

As J and I will celebrate our 62nd birthdays in May.  After 40 years of marriage in June, we will have come a long way together!  I am thankful to God for our marriage and for my best friend, with whom I can share my older years.

God is not finished with us as He continues to bless our ministry here in A.  We will be starting another Bible study group with several couples in their 30's and 40's.  J  and I will be driving about 1 hour each way to meet with this group.  Please pray for J  as he prepares to teach them.  J  will have six different Bible study groups.  We praise the Lord for the good response to J's teaching of God's Word!

I have new little boy in my Sunday School class. N  just turned 5 years old.  He is adjusting slowly to our children's Sunday school, but is very good at memorizing Bible verses.  Just a couple of months ago, it seemed that he couldn't speak ten words of English. Now he can communicate very well.  He is so cute!

We praise the Lord for M's successful business, We are praying that S is selected for a job for which she has applied. She has had two interviews and is scheduled to have another.  We praise the Lord for C's Christian growth and for T's desire to serve the Lord.  He has leadership qualities and is not afraid to lead.  We also praise the Lord for His evident blessing in the lives of others to whom we minister.

We request prayer that God would continue to meet all of our needs; spiritual, physical, emotional and financial.  At times, I struggle with emotional difficulties.  I don't know whether it is due to the medication I take or just the stage of my life.  I would appreciate your prayers for me.

Thank you for your faithful prayer and financial support to our ministry here in  Auckland, New Zealand.

With thankful hearts,

J and M H
