The End Times as God Reveals Them Pt. 57 The World Economy Destroyed in 1 Hour.

From our home to each of your homes around the world, we wish you a Christ centered Christmas and we hope that each of our hearts will be filled with cheer as we contemplate the mystery of God in heaven taking on a body of flesh in order to save us.

The World Economy will be destroyed.

Revelation 18:9-10  And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 10)  Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

Political Babylon will control the entire world economy and it may seem strange to see the word "fornication" used in this text, since this word is usually connected with idolatry. However, we have to remember that the only ones who can participate in the economy of the Antichrist will be those who receive the mark of the beast or who worship his image. Therefore, not only will the world commit spiritual fornication by following the religion of Mystery Babylon, but they will also commit fornication by taking the mark so they can buy or sell goods and services. 

All of the 10 kings who gave their power to Antichrist will beat themselves in their deep pain grief over the demise of the future economic system. They will move away to a safe place to observe it's collapse as they cry out in grief. They will lament the loss their luxurious lifestyles and the ability to pursue the lusts of their flesh with no moral inhibitions. 

Ruling class & merchants will weep. 

Revelation 18:11-14  And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: 12) The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, 13) And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. 14) And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all. 

The merchant class composed of the elite wealthy people who control the global economy will be emotionally distraught because their standard of living and livelihood will be destroyed. All economic activity will cease at this point. Loss of financial wealth is indicated by the reference to gold, silver and gemstones. The textile industry including clothing, floor covering, bedding, window coverings and many more that use fabrics in their manufacturing process will be shut down. All industries that use raw materials like various wood species, and ores like brass and iron will no longer be able to produce. The food industry including spices, fruits, wine, oil, wheat and the animals used for food processing will be out of business. 

How large was the global economy in the most recent year we have data, 2017? The GDP of the world is estimated at $133 trillion in US dollars! It may be even larger when the End Times events happen. Imagine the cessation of all that economic activity at one time in such a manner that all of it is worthless, and you begin to catch a glimpse of how profound their grief and lamentation will be. 

God will make a sudden end.

Revelation 18:15-19  The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, 16) And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! 17) For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, 18) And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! 19)  And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate. 

The text above tells us the depths of grief that they will experience after God destroys the global economy of the Antichrist. We see another reference to how rapidly God will bring about its collapse in the phrase "in one hour so great riches are come to nought." They worshipped money and financial assets instead of God but it will all be made valueless. The reference to the shipmasters reflects the impact upon global logistics in that day. It will all come to a halt.  

Saints and angels will rejoice. 

Revelation 18:20-21  Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. 21) And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.   

The one world government, religion and economy under the Antichrist's control will all be shattered by the judgment from God. For believers, whether those taken to heaven at the rapture, those from the Old Testament or those tribulation saints, this day will be a day of rejoicing because God will take vengeance on all His enemies and those who abused His people. 

A mighty angel will cast a millstone into the sea as a symbol or picture of Babylon's final destruction.  A millstone grinds down raw grains like wheat, oats or barley into fine powder for baking and cooking needs. The language reminds us of Christ as the cornerstone.  

Matthew 21:42-44  Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43) Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. 44) And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. 

We know from Old Testament and New Testament texts that the Lord Jesus Christ is referred to as the chief cornerstone. Jesus described Himself like a cornerstone that will grind to powder any upon whom it will fall. (See for example, Psalm 118:22; Isaiah 28:16; Romans 9:33, 1 Peter 2:7-8).

Revelation 18:22-24  And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; 23) And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. 24) And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. 

All of the arts and entertainment industries will be gone, forever lost. All of the craftsmen and tradesmen who make things will no longer work. No more marriages, no more weddings, nor more celebrations, no more life and light in the kingdom of Antichrist. 

It is noteworthy to see the word "sorceries" that were used to deceive the nations. The Greek word "pharmakeia" is found in words like pharmaceuticals or pharmacy. It refers to taking or dispensing drugs, in this case to deceive the nations. Globally, pharmaceuticals account for more that $1.3 trillion in sales, a truly large industry. I suspect that by the time of Antichrist it will be even larger. 

Justification for final judgment is in the bloodshed of prophets and saints of God that were slain through all the ages on earth. 

Thoughts to Ponder...

Hallelujah, I am filled with anticipation  because we are going to see our Lord Jesus Christ's second coming as we turn to Revelation 19. 

The world religious system will be destroyed, followed by the destruction of the global political and economic system. The 10 kings will weep bitterly because their lifestyle has ended. So will the merchant class grieve and lament for the ruin that will befall them in this collapse. 

Today, there are many moving parts and pieces in many governing bodies that individually may not seem significant but they may represent a pattern of future action by governments. 

Suspension of constitutional rights. 

This has happened in America since March as primarily Democrat governors violated their citizens 1st Amendment rights to religious freedom by forcing churches to close and cancel worship services. 

Radical groups like rioters are allowed meet and mingle in close proximity with impunity, as they destroy public and private property, but churches that minister to the needs of human hearts through gospel preaching, cannot meet. No logical reasons are given. It is a power grab by power hungry politicians who lean left. 

Lockdowns

Lockdowns are a way of controlling people as our brothers and sisters in many other nations know all too well. States using lockdowns are killing off small businesses at an alarming rate and yet the same states have soaring COVID infections. 

Lockdowns cause severe damage to the economy. Lockdowns have caused a noticeable spike in suicide rates and mental health issues have risen sharply. Lockdowns have come with a spike in violent crime. Lockdowns have had a terrible impact upon our nations school aged children. We could go on but you get the idea. 

New Mantra: Follow the science

This reflects the rationale for those who seek power to control our lives. They hide behind the rallying cry of the left saying "We are going to follow the science" and yet the World Health Organization released a warning that lockdowns do not stop the spread of COVID and they cause devastation to peoples lives by harming the economy. Therefore, why do they routinely ignore science and lock states down? 

These tactics are strategically using "science" to force people to do what you want them to. Do you see that even today, how the global pandemic has given government leaders an opportunity to lock down your life? Do you see the connection with the terrible toll on the economy? Do you see how mandating vaccination for the virus could very easily morph into mandating the mark of the beast? 

We are very close to Christ coming for His church. If you are not born again and regenerated by God's Holy Spirit, then you are not ready and you will face terrible times when the church is raptured. 

If you are trusting in your elected leaders, your trust in in the wrong place. Things will not get better and all changes will be for the worse in every nation. Why? Because the end is drawing near and the stage is being set for the rise of global governing by the Antichrist.

If you are trusting your wealth and assets to help you ride all this out, you are trusting in the wrong thing. The love of money is the root of all evil. 

God is not calling us to somehow ride out and survive all of His tremendous judgments that are forthcoming. No, He has called us to repentant faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. He has promised to grant eternal life and a home in heaven to all who will believe and trust in His Son, Jesus Christ. He has called us to live for His glory as long as He gives us life. Will you believe today?
