The Authority & Sufficiency of Scripture. Pt. 14 All sufficient Scriptures Point to the All Sufficient Christ!

Good morning to all of our Readers....

This will conclude our series of lessons on the authority and sufficiency of scripture. I pray that the teaching has blessed and encouraged all of you!

Today's Verse - Galatians 4:4-5 (KJV) - Emmanuel Baptist Church

I thought that using a table would be an easy way to show us how clearly the Old Testament scriptures connect to Jesus Christ. We looked at this a bit in our last post when we discussed Luke 24 in depth.

This is how Jesus taught others about Himself. He drew a line from the Old Testament writings right to who He was, what He did and what He spoke. This is the same pattern of teaching that the apostles used as well when the gospel began spreading.

This is not an exhaustive list, meaning that other scriptures could be included especially under the column of New Testament fulfillment. However, it certainly shows us passages of Old Testament scripture that Jesus used to show people that He was indeed the suffering and victorious Messiah.

I pray that this resource will encourage you own investigation into these truths and that we may all rejoice together as we see God's mighty hand at work in human history to bring the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God to its perfect timing to do the work needed to save us.
